Community First is pleased to introduce a new Home Design Recognition Award program. Homeowners, residents, builder, architects and building professionals can submit Naperville homes that have been redeveloped and/or remodeled for consideration in the awards program.

Submitted homes will be eligible for the Community First Design Recognition Award based on the home's design meeting the guidelines developed by Community First in their award winning "Workbook for Successful Redevelopment".

Once a home's design has been selected, it will be featured as a Community First Design Winner and a candidate for the Community Choice Award which is held on an annual basis.

Community First, a Naperville not-for-profit citizens' group encouraging compatible redevelopment; their copyrighted publication, Workbook for Successful Redevelopment, An Idea and Resource Guide for Building in Established Neighborhoods, was published in April 2002. The workbook represents a yearlong collaborative effort of Community First members to create an educational tool that provides ideas and resources for new home building and remodeling projects in established neighborhoods.
